Gastroparesis and Pregnancy

GP & Pregnancy, i didn’t know what to expect. I am 15 weeks and feeling well! There was 4-5 weeks of Hyperemesis which were rough, lots of vomiting, weight loss, pain from GP and Hospital trips for much needed fluids. But I am proud to say we pulled through well and have been on the upward swing since.

I have been trying to adhere to my healthy, gp friendly version of eating but it has been tough. Everything naughty is what I crave. I am trying to avoid flares by being proactive as I have in the past but it has definitely been a lot more difficult as of late. I swear it’s the baby that wants all this crap.. kidding I do but don’t want to pay the price.

My family is beyond excited and the girls can’t wait to find out who is living and growing in my belly. John and I are feeling very blessed to have a so far fairly easy run of it. We were quite concerned as to the effects GP may have on my pregnancy. I have the most amazing primary Dr ¬†and a proactive GI Dr so I feel very confident we can handle any hiccups along the way.

I have been focusing all my non family time on my courses, practicing health coaching, my website, recipes, facebook and IG accounts. I feel like the past few weeks have been a blur but I am finally catching up to where I want to be.
